Last year, on the advice of a friend, I cooked cucumbers in Finnish for the winter. They differ from the usual pickles with a sweeter taste. In addition, vegetables are cooked in a marinade, which greatly simplifies the canning process.
Ingredients
- Cucumbers - 2 kg
- Garlic - 50 g
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Black Pepper - 5 peas
- Vinegar - 150 ml
- Sugar - 140 g
- Salt - 60 g
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut cucumbers into thick circles.
Boil water, add sugar, salt, spices and peeled garlic cloves.
Add cucumbers and boil for 5 minutes.
Put the cucumbers in the prepared jars.
Add vinegar to the boiling marinade and immediately turn off the heat.
Pour into jars with cucumbers, roll up and turn upside down.
