If you prefer jams with the most uniform texture, there are a couple of different ways to chop the berry. If it's a large elastic berry, like gooseberries, I prefer to just use a meat grinder. And then I'll tell you in more detail how to do it better.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Cut off the gooseberry tails and pass it through a meat grinder.

Add sugar and bring the gooseberries to a boil.

Boil the jam for half an hour on low heat and add vanilla.

Boil for another 5 minutes and roll it into sterilized jars.
