Bacon is the perfect addition to pea soup. I want to share with you my favorite everyday recipe for a slow cooker. In this case, I prefer to puree part of the dish with a blender, and leave part untouched.
Ingredients
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pre-rinse and soak the peas.
Send it to a slow cooker with chopped vegetables, and add water to taste.
Cook everything together in stew mode for an hour.
Add the sliced potatoes with bacon, season and simmer for another hour.
If desired, chop part of the soup with a blender.
