To make cabbage even tastier for the winter, various additives are used. Apples and cranberries are a time–tested classic that has become popular for a reason. I share my family's signature recipe for lovers of crispy and moderately sour cabbage.

Ingredients

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Chop cabbage and carrots, and mix it with sugar, salt, bay leaf and pepper, without kneading.

Put it in a large container, shifting the layers with cranberries and apple slices.

Leave the cabbage under the yoke for 3 days.

Put it in sterile jars and store it in a cold place.
