I'll tell you one secret: delicious jam can be made even from small gooseberries. Go to the market and buy it at a bargain price. You will save the family budget and stock up on delicious canned food for the winter. In general, the recipe differs little from the basic one.

Ingredients

  • Gooseberry (shallow) – 3 kg
  • Sugar - 1,5 kg
  • Citric acid - 2 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Pick the gooseberries, clean them from dry tails and rinse.

Put the berries in a saucepan, cover with sugar and leave for 1.5-2 hours.

Put on a slow fire and boil for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add citric acid, boil for another 2 minutes and remove from heat.

Arrange the jam in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
