This version of the currant preparation I tried for the first time from a neighbor. Only she cuts the mint finely, so the particles remain. I offer you my own version of red currant jelly with mint. As for me, everything is just perfect!
Ingredients
- Red Currant - 2 kg
- Sugar - 2 kg
- Mint - 5 twigs
- Citric acid - at the tip of the knife
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the prepared berries in a blender.
Rub the resulting mass through a sieve to remove the peel and bones.
Add sugar, bound mint stalks and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
Take out the mint sprigs and throw them away. They have already given the flavor to the jam, so they won't be needed anymore.
Add citric acid and boil for another 5 minutes. Spread out in prepared jars and roll up.
