Peel and gut the herring. Remove the bones and cut into small cubes.
Grate boiled vegetables on a grater.
Chop the onion with a knife and pour cold water with vinegar for 10 minutes.
Put the potatoes on a flat plate, season with salt and smear with mayonnaise.
Then add layers of herring, onion and carrot. Add salt again and smear with mayonnaise.
Put the last layer of beets mixed with mayonnaise.
Carefully level the finished salad with a fork and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours.
