I want to share with you another interesting recipe for vegetable stew with lamb. My family just loves it, so I cook it a lot and often. The combination of different ingredients makes the stew both satisfying and not too heavy.
Ingredients
- Mutton - 400 g
- Green peas - 1 glass
- Potatoes - 300 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.l.
- Hops-suneli - 0,5 tsp.
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Water (filtered) – 700 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop carrots, peeled onions and potatoes.
Wash the lamb, dry with paper towels and cut into medium-sized pieces.
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, add the lamb and fry for 10-15 minutes. Try to make each piece well browned on all sides.
Add onion, carrot, suneli hops and bay leaf. Cook, stirring, 4-5 minutes.
Put the vegetables and meat in a deep saucepan, add hot water and simmer for half an hour on low heat.
Pour in the potatoes, add tomato paste, salt and cook for another 10 minutes.
Add green peas, salt and turn off after 3 minutes.
Serve the stew hot.
