Classic forshmak is one of the basic dishes of Jewish cuisine. Variations on its theme are found in Poland, Germany and, of course, a simple recipe has willingly taken root in post-Soviet countries. I suggest today to prepare the simplest and most versatile option, which you can already supplement with spices to taste.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 3 pieces
- White bread - 3 slices
- Chicken eggs - 4 pieces
- Onion - 1 piece
- Olive oil - 3 art.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Soak the bread in a little water.

Boil hard-boiled eggs, let cool and peel off the shell.
