If all kinds of tomato twists have already been prepared, catch an unusual recipe in a piggy bank. Today we will prepare for the winter an original snack 2 in 1 of cabbage and tomatoes. The marinade is simple, the result is excellent. The number of ingredients is indicated for 1 jar.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 150 g
  • Tomatoes - 400 g
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Dill - 20 g
  • Bay leaf - 1 pcs.
  • Water - how much will go into the jar
  • Vinegar (9%) – 15 ml
  • Sugar - 20 g
  • Salt - 10 g

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Place a washed sprig of dill, peeled garlic cloves and bay leaf on the bottom of a pre-sterilized jar.

Chop the cabbage, wash the tomatoes.

Put a layer of cabbage in the jar, then tomatoes and again a layer of cabbage.

Boil the water and pour boiling water over the vegetables in the jar to the top. Cover the jar with a sterile lid and leave to warm up for 20 minutes.

Then drain the water from the jar into a saucepan and bring it to a boil again. Cover the workpiece with a lid and leave for another 20 minutes.

For the third time, drain the water from the jar into a saucepan, add salt, sugar and vinegar, bring to a boil.

Pour boiling marinade over vegetables in a jar and roll up. Turn the jar upside down, wrap it up and leave it to cool completely. Transfer the cooled workpiece to a cool, dark place for storage.
