All summer residents and part-time lovers of winter preparations sooner or later face the problem of where to put the overgrown cucumbers. Just canning them whole is tasteless, because they will never be crispy. But they go great in salads or, for example, in such a lecho.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Chop the tomatoes with a blender and bring to a boil.

Add butter, sugar and salt, and boil for 10 minutes.

Cut cucumbers into circles, and pepper into strips.

Add vegetables, chopped garlic and vinegar to the tomato.

Boil the lecho for another 10-15 minutes. Roll it up in sterilized jars.
