Mankind has been engaged in preparations from mountain ash for a long time. They are dried, frozen, ground with sugar, used for jam and compotes. Today I offer you an excellent recipe for red mountain ash jam. I use it myself, so I'm absolutely sure of the result.
Ingredients
- Mountain Ash (red) – 2 kg
- Sugar - 2 kg
- Citric acid - 2 g
- Water - 2 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Place the red mountain ash in a saucepan, pour boiling water and leave under the lid for 5 minutes.
Drain the water, rub the soft berries through a sieve.
Mix the fragrant puree with sugar and citric acid.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
Put the hot jam in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
