It's time to move away from the usual recipes and cook something unusual! For example, delicious mango compote. I recommend using slightly unripe fruits so that they do not fall apart during cooking.
Ingredients
- Mango - 1 kg
- Sugar - 200 g
- Citric acid - on the tip of the knife
- Water - 3,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the mango, cut in half, remove the stone and slice.
Place the mango slices in sterilized jars, filling no more than two-thirds.
Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and set aside for 30 minutes.
Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar and boil for 5 minutes.
Pour citric acid into mango jars and pour boiling syrup.
Roll up, turn upside down and wrap up with a thick towel.
