Mushroom pickle from honeydew with cabbage for winter

My favorite preparation with mushrooms for the winter is solyanka. Today I propose to cook it from cabbage and honeydew. Just an amazing combination, and at the same time – an excellent answer to the question of what to do with a generous mushroom catch at the height of the season. The recipe is very simple!
Ingredients
- Cabbage - 1 kg
- Honeydew - 500 g
- Carrots - 250 g
- Onion - 250 g
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tbsp.l.
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Vinegar - 2.5 tbsp.l.
- Tomato paste - 4 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the honeydew for 15-20 minutes in boiling water.
Chop the onion and carrot, and fry in oil until soft.
Add cabbage and a little water, and simmer all together for half an hour.
Add the remaining ingredients, except vinegar, and simmer for another half hour.
Pour in the vinegar and close the hodgepodge in sterilized jars.
