When I want to create comfort in the house, I put things in order and bake a fragrant honey cake. In this recipe, the ideal amount of sugar and honey is selected according to my taste. The cake turns out to be soft, beautiful and moderately sweet.
Ingredients
- Flour - 4 glasses
- Chicken eggs - 1 piece
- Honey (liquid) – 2 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Milk (warm) – 2 tbsp.l.
- Water - 2 art.l.
- Baking soda - 1 tsp.
- Butter - 150 g
- Sour cream - 700 g
- Sugar - 1 glass
- Vanillin - at the tip of the knife
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Melt the butter in a water bath.
Pour in warm water, milk and liquid honey.
Add baking soda, sugar, lightly beaten egg and mix.
Pour in all the flour in portions and knead the plastic dough.
Divide the dough into 10 identical pieces, cover with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Take one piece out of the refrigerator, roll out the cake 0.5 centimeters thick, put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment, and bake in a preheated oven for 5-6 minutes. Repeat the steps with the rest of the test.
In a deep bowl, mix sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Beat with a mixer until the sugar crystals completely dissolve.
Give the cooled cakes the desired shape by cutting the edges.
Chop the trimmings in a blender or crush them with a rolling pin.
Assemble the cake on a wide platter, smearing each cake with sour cream.
Smear the top layer with cream and generously sprinkle with prepared crumbs.
Send the finished cake to the refrigerator to soak for 3-4 hours.
