This is one of the simplest honey cake recipes. According to him, the cake always turns out delicious. For convenience, I recommend rolling out the cakes immediately on parchment paper. Cut two pieces of the desired size and roll out the dough on them alternately.

Step-by-step cooking recipe
Melt the butter in a water bath.
Add honey, sugar and lightly beaten eggs. Remove from the heat and whisk everything together with a mixer at low speed.
Pour in the soda and mix. The mass should turn white and increase in volume.
Add the sifted flour and knead a smooth dough. Divide into 4 identical pieces, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Roll out each piece with a thin cake, put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, and bake for 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees.
Mix eggs with sugar and vanilla essence.
Add a third of the milk, flour and mix until smooth.
Pour in the remaining milk and simmer for 5 minutes after boiling. Remove the cream from the heat and cool.
Beat the cooled cream with softened butter.
Assemble the cake by smearing the cakes with cream.
Brush the top with the remnants of the cream and sprinkle with almond petals. The cake should stand in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
