This recipe cannot be called simple, but carrots always turn out delicious according to it. It is important not to get confused in the sequence of actions. Cold marinade, which is added before the hot oil, will not be able to produce the desired effect.
Ingredients
- Carrots - 500 g
- Onion - 1 piece
- Garlic - half a head
- Balsamic vinegar - 1,5 tbsp.l .
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Nutmeg (ground) – 0,5 tsp.
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Water (boiled) – 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the carrots and grate them on a special grater.
Add salt, ground black pepper and nutmeg, mix.
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Pour the oil into the carrots, straining from the onion through a strainer. Stir and set aside for 15 minutes.
Mix water with vinegar, sugar and garlic passed through a press.
Pour the resulting marinade into the carrots and mix. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 1.5-2 hours.
