You will probably be surprised, but a herring under a fur coat can be very tasty cooked with cod liver. These two components are perfectly combined with each other and vegetables. I advise you to always look at the terms on the package when buying cod!
Ingredients
- Herring (finished fillet) – 300 g
- Cod liver - 200 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 250 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 200 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 3 pieces
- Cucumbers (salty) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 200 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop the herring, onion and cucumbers. Grate eggs and boiled vegetables on a grater. Mash the cod liver thoroughly with a fork.
Lay the herring, onion and potatoes on a plate in layers. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise.
Arrange the cod liver, carrots, cucumbers and eggs. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise again.
Make the top layer of lettuce from beetroot mixed with mayonnaise.
Decorate the salad with egg crumbs and send it to the refrigerator for 2 hours.
