One of the most outlandish recipes I've ever tried is chanterelle jam. Such mushroom preparations are an interesting trend in French cuisine. It turns out very peculiar, but definitely worthy of attention.
Ingredients
- Chanterelles - 1 kg
- Sugar - 300 g
- Apples - 1 piece
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Water - 200 ml
- Lemon - 0.5 pieces
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Go through the mushrooms, fill with cold water and overnight and then randomly chop.
Add sugar and 200 ml of water, bring to a boil and cook on low heat for half an hour.
Add grated or finely chopped apple and cook for another half hour.
Add lemon juice and cinnamon, boil for another 5 minutes and roll the jam into sterile jars.
