Classic Japanese onigiri are rice balls or triangles with various fillings. They are cooked with fish, bean paste, seafood – with anything. In addition, you can also cook sweet onigiri, and I want to dwell on them in more detail.
Ingredients
- Round rice (for sushi) – 120 g
- Water - 250 ml
- Rice vinegar - 2 tbsp.l .
- Sugar - 1 tsp.
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Nori - 1 sheet
- Strawberries - 200 g
- Ricotta - 150 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the rice, cover with cold water and bring to a boil.
Cook under the lid for 15-20 minutes on medium heat until the water evaporates.
Add vinegar, sugar and salt, mix and let the rice cool.
Form tortillas from it and put some ricotta and a piece of strawberries.
Form onigiri of any shape and glue a strip of nori soaked in water.
