If you like culinary experiments, then you definitely need to make kvass from birch sap. With the addition of raisins, malt and rye bread, it turns out fragrant, rich and very beautiful. According to the recipe, honey is added and I do not advise replacing it with sugar.
Ingredients
- Malt - 1,5 tbsp.l.
- Raisins - 1 art.l.
- Bread (rye) – 3 slices
- Honey - 4 tbsp.l .
- Birch juice - 3 l
- Water - 200 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pour a glass of warm water over the raisins and put them aside for 2 days.
Cut rye bread into small pieces and dry in the oven for 10 minutes.
Strain the birch juice and pour it into the prepared container.
Add dry bread, honey, malt and raisin stock.
Cover with gauze and put in a warm place for 2 days.
Strain, bottle and put in the refrigerator for 1 day.
