In addition to compotes and jam, be sure to prepare delicious cherry sauce for meat for the winter. Sweet and sour, moderately thick and fragrant, with the addition of garlic and spices, it turns out incredibly tasty!


  • Cherry - 1 kg
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp.l .
  • Vinegar - 2 tsp.
  • Carnation (ground) – 0.5 tsp.
  • Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
  • Sugar - 180 g
  • Salt - at the tip of the knife

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the cherries, peel the seeds and put them in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

Cover with sugar and leave for 8-10 hours.

Bring to a boil over low heat and cook for 10 minutes.

Add spices, salt, oil, garlic passed through the press and simmer for another 5-7 minutes.

Pour in the vinegar, boil for 2 minutes and place in sterilized jars.
