I am delighted with Italian cuisine! The combinations of tastes are always incredibly harmonious and correct. Among the many favorites, of course, is pesto sauce. There are many interesting recipes, but now I want to share a version of basil and hot pepper.
Ingredients
- Basil (purple) – 250 g
- Nuts (cedar) – 100 g
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Parmesan - 200 g
- Olive oil - 100 ml
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the hot red pepper in half, peel off the seeds and rinse. If you want a spicier version of the sauce, don't remove the seeds.
Grate the parmesan on a fine grater.
Chop basil, hot pepper and pine nuts in a blender.
Add olive oil, salt, parmesan and mix well.
