Manti is a popular dish of Asian cuisine, reminiscent of the usual dumplings, but steamed. Try to cook homemade manti with ground beef and, perhaps, they will become your favorite treat.
Ingredients
- Flour - 3 glasses
- Water (warm) – 250 ml
- Salt - 0,5 tsp.
- Butter (for greasing the steamer) – 40 g
- Ground beef - 500 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Water (cold) – 150 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Sift the flour into a wide bowl, collect it with a slide and make a small recess.
Add warm water, salt and knead a tight dough.
Cover with a towel and set aside for 15 minutes.
Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop.
Mix the minced meat, onion, salt, ground pepper and water. Stir with a fork until smooth.
Form sausages from the dough, cut into pieces of the same size.
Roll each one out with a rolling pin into a thin flat cake the size of a palm.
Put some minced meat in the middle, connect the opposite edges on top. The formed ears are blinded in pairs, giving the shape of a boat.
Grease the grill of the steamer with butter, lay out the manti and cook for 40 minutes for a couple.
Carefully place the finished manti on a plate and serve hot.
