Fragrant apricot compote is a simple and quick preparation that will be 100% useful to you in the cold winter. The drink will appeal to children and adults, diversify the menu and remind them of the hot summer. It is suitable both for a festive table and for every day.

Ingredients

  • Apricots - 300 g
  • Water - 800 ml
  • Sugar - 100 g
  • Mint - 1 twig
  • Citric acid - 1 pinch

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Rinse the apricots, divide them into halves, remove the bones.

Rinse the mint and dry it slightly.

Place the apricot halves in a cooking pan, add sugar, citric acid and a sprig of mint. Pour in the water, bring the compote to a boil and boil for 10-15 minutes over medium heat.

From the finished compote, do not forget to take out a sprig of mint.

Place the halves of apricots in a pre-sterilized liter jar, pour boiling compote to the top. Roll up the jar, turn it upside down and cool it. Store the cooled apricot compote in a cool, dark place.
