The traditional Jewish snack recipe includes butter, boiled eggs and milk. We will try to cook a lean forshmak from herring, removing all the listed products. To simplify your task, buy fish cut into fillets.

- White bread - 1 piece
- Apples (green) – 1 piece
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vinegar - 1 tbsp.l.
- Vegetable oil - 2 art.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Crumble the bread into a bowl, cover with water and set aside for 10 minutes.
Gut the herring, remove the head, fins and tail.
Remove the skin, cut in half lengthwise, remove the ridge and bones.
Finely chop the apple and peeled onion.
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Put the herring fillet, apple, fried onion and soaked bread into the blender bowl. Grind to a homogeneous consistency.
Add vinegar, salt, ground pepper, garlic passed through the press and chop again.
