Different types of gooseberries may differ greatly in color, but otherwise they are similar to each other. This means that for compote they can be combined in arbitrary proportions. I prefer to take more red – for a bright color.

Ingredients

  • Gooseberry (red) – 900 g
  • Water - 1.5-2 l
  • Sugar - 7 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Sort out the gooseberries, remove all the debris and rinse the berry.

Fill it with water and bring it to a boil.

Add sugar, stir the compote and boil it for 10 minutes on low heat.
