Bolognese sauce is a classic Italian sauce that is usually served with pasta or used in lasagna. Traditionally, minced meat goes into it, but sometimes you want to do without it for some dishes. I'm telling you how to do it better!
Ingredients
- Red Lentils - 120 g
- Carrots - 1 piece
- Onion - 0.5 pieces
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Celery - 1 stem
- Tomato paste - 2 tbsp.l.
- Paprika (smoked) – 1 tsp.
- Tomatoes (in its own juice) – 1 bank
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Boil the lentils in advance according to the instructions.
Finely chop the onion, carrot and celery.
Fry them together until golden.
Add the tomato and lentils, and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
Add tomatoes in their own juice, a little water and spices.
Simmer the bolognese under the lid for about 20 minutes.
Cook the sauce without a lid until excess moisture evaporates.
