A very original and unusual version of pea soup is pea soup with corn. Moreover, I add not only canned or frozen grains to it, but also a little corn groats for density and texture.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Pre-soak and rinse the peas.

Cook the pork until tender and remove from the broth. Bring it back later at the very end.

Send the peas to the boiling broth, after 20 minutes add the potatoes, and after another 10 – all the other vegetables and corn.

Add corn grits with spices, and cook the soup, stirring, for another 10 minutes.

Let it brew well under the lid.
