If you follow a diet, it is not necessary to give up herring under a fur coat. Just make a salad with lean mayonnaise. The dish turns out to be no worse, rather the opposite — tastier and easier. Perhaps this recipe will become your favorite.
Ingredients
- Herring (lightly salted) – 1 piece
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise (lean) – 180 ml
- Cucumbers (for decoration) – half
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Ground coriander - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut and cut into small pieces.
Chop the onion, grate the vegetables and eggs on a coarse grater.
Put a layer of herring on a plate, sprinkle with coriander and pepper. Add the onion and potatoes on top. Season with salt, pepper and grease with lean mayonnaise.
Lay out layers of carrots and eggs, pepper and salt again. Cover with a layer of beetroot mixed with mayonnaise.
Flatten, decorate with crumbs of boiled eggs, pieces of herring and cucumber. Put the salad in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 hours.
