Today I suggest cooking rabbit stewed in hot sauce with tomatoes. The meat should be young, and the carcass is not particularly large. Such rabbit meat is prepared the fastest and always turns out to be soft. Adjust the sharpness with the amount of red pepper.
Ingredients
- Rabbit - 1 kg
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Tomatoes (medium) – 3 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 4 clove
- Vegetable oil - 3 tbsp.l.
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Meat broth - 600 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the rabbit, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Cut the hot pepper in half, peel the seeds and chop.
Chop tomatoes, peeled onion and garlic.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, put the rabbit pieces and fry for 12-15 minutes.
Add carrots, onions and continue cooking for 4-5 minutes.
Add ground pepper, bay leaf, tomatoes and hot pepper. Fry everything together for 10 minutes.
Add salt, pour in the hot broth and cover with a lid. Simmer for 1 hour.
