Jam-five minutes of irga is not only a delicious homemade treat, but also very useful. In winter, such a billet will serve you well! Serve the treat with pancakes and cheesecakes, casseroles and ice cream. Very tasty with fresh bread!

Ingredients

  • Irga - 2 kg
  • Sugar - 2 kg
  • Citric acid - 0,5 tsp.

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Carefully remove the irga from the twigs, sort, rinse and dry well.

Put the berries in a cooking bowl, cover with sugar, stir and leave to form juice for about 2 hours.

Then bring the billet to a boil over low heat and boil for 5 minutes. Remove the bowl from the heat and let the jam cool completely (at least 6 hours).

Repeat the cooking procedure twice more with a 6-hour break. During the last, third, cooking, add citric acid to the jam.

Pour the boiling jam into pre-sterilized, dry jars, seal tightly and cool. Store the cooled jam from irga in a cool dark place.
