Soak cucumbers for 3 hours in cold water.
Disassemble the garlic into cloves and peel off the husk.
Place dill umbrellas, black pepper, garlic cloves and cucumbers in jars.
Pour boiling water to the top, cover with lids and leave for 30 minutes.
Drain the water into a saucepan and bring it to a boil again. Add sugar, salt, vinegar and vodka.
Pour the boiling marinade into the jars, roll up the cucumbers and turn the jars upside down.
