To make my favorite plum jam as thick as possible without increasing the cooking time, I add a little agar-agar. And then I will tell you in detail how and when to do it correctly. Such a blank will be useful not only at home, but will also be a great gift if you stock up a couple of small jars.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the seeds from the plum and pass the fruits through a meat grinder.
Fill the agar-agar with a small amount of water and leave for 20 minutes.
Add sugar to the plum, bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes.
Pour in the agar, stir and boil for another 5 minutes.
Roll the jam into sterilized jars for the winter.
