This jam is perfect for toast, sandwiches and adding to yogurt or oatmeal porridge. It also goes great in baking, like pies or cupcakes. Citric acid is added not only to preserve the freshness of pears, but also to emphasize their taste.

Ingredients

  • Pear - 1.5 kg
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Citric acid - 1 tsp.
  • Sugar - 1 kg

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Peel the pears, slice, pour water and boil for 15-20 minutes.

Mash with a masher or blender and add sugar.

Cook the jam for about half an hour on low heat.

Add citric acid and roll the jam into sterile jars.
