Due to the fact that cherry plum contains a lot of pectin and is well boiled, it is a pleasure to cook jam from it. It always turns out very thick and homogeneous. And besides, you can cook it from a wide variety of varieties of cherry plum.

Ingredients

  • Cherry Plum - 2 kg
  • Sugar - 1.5 kg
  • Water - 0.5 glasses
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Remove the seeds from the cherry plum, fill it with water and boil for 15 minutes until soft. Grind through a sieve.

Add sugar to the puree and bring it to a boil again.

Cook the jam on low heat for about 40 minutes until thick.

Pour lemon juice and roll the jam into sterile jars.
