Today I want to tell you a recipe for gooseberry and red currant jam. Berries can be combined in different proportions, but I like them equally. It turns out especially tasty with green gooseberries. It enriches the flavor bouquet with a slight sourness.
Ingredients
- Red Currant - 1 kg
- Gooseberry - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1,5 kg
- Citric acid - at the tip of the knife
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Pass the prepared berries through a meat grinder.
Add sugar, stir and set aside for 1 hour.
Bring the mass to a boil over low heat.
Add citric acid and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Arrange the jam in clean, dry jars and roll it up.
