Harvesting for the winter is troublesome, but grateful! And even if you didn't think about it in the summer, there are still three whole months of autumn! For example, in September and October comes a great time to cook fragrant jam from apples and blackthorn. I share my favorite recipe!
Ingredients
- Turn - 1 kg
- Apples - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Ground cinnamon - 0,5 tsp.
- Water - 800 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Turn over and rinse.
Pour cold water and boil for 10 minutes.
Cool slightly, flip into a colander and rub through a sieve to remove the bones and peel.
Wash the apples, peel and finely chop.
In a deep saucepan, mix the apples, mashed blackthorn and half the sugar.
Pour in half of the broth and boil for 20 minutes on low heat.
Add ground cinnamon, remaining sugar and cook for another 15 minutes.
Spread the hot jam in clean jars and roll it up.
