Among dozens of traditional and not so traditional ways of cooking Japanese mochi, it is worth mentioning mochi in the microwave separately. Oddly enough, they do not differ at all from the original ones. And it's also very simple, fast and affordable!
Ingredients
- Rice flour - 50 g
- Powdered sugar - 10 g
- Water - 80 ml
- Corn Starch - 3 tbsp.l .
- Walnuts - 30 g
- Honey - 20 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Chop walnuts in a blender and mix with honey.
Mix rice flour, powdered sugar and water. You can mix a couple of drops of dye.
Cover with clingfilm and put in the microwave for 10 seconds at maximum power.
Mix the mass, cover again with a film and cook for another 20-30 seconds.
Divide the dough into pieces and roll out into tortillas on a starch-dusted surface.
Lay out the nut filling, form the mochi and send them to the refrigerator.
