Many housewives cook herring under a fur coat and each has its own secrets. I suggest cooking this popular salad with pickled onions. And in order not to waste time in vain, while the onion is being prepared, you can do fish and vegetables.
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Potatoes (boiled) – 250 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Apple cider vinegar - 1 art.l.
- Vegetable oil - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the onion, slice and rinse under running water. Add vinegar, oil, salt and black pepper. Stir, cover and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
Peel the herring, gut and cut into small pieces. Grate the eggs and other vegetables on a coarse grater.
Lay the herring, pickled onions and potatoes in layers on a wide plate. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and smear with mayonnaise.
Add carrots, eggs and beets mixed with mayonnaise.
Send the finished salad to infuse for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
