The recipe will appeal to fish lovers. Salted mackerel forshmak is often prepared in Israel. It is served with boiled potatoes, spread on a piece of black bread. Sometimes the snack is put in a large bowl and put on the table along with pancakes.
Ingredients
- Mackerel (salty) – 1 carcass
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 1 piece
- Apples (green) – 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Lemon juice - 1 art.l.
- Dijon mustard - 1 tbsp.l.
- Butter - 60 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Skin the mackerel, remove the head, tail and fins.
Cut into two halves lengthwise, remove the spine and bones.
Cut the apple into quarters, peel and seeds, sprinkle with lemon juice.
Peel the egg and onion, cut into large pieces.
Put the mackerel, egg, onion and apple in the blender bowl.
Add mustard, butter and grind until smooth.
