This delicious snack has been prepared for hundreds of years, but it does not lose its relevance today. Vegetarians are especially fond of hummus. A hearty puree of boiled chickpeas quickly satisfies hunger, and does not cause heaviness in the stomach. Delicious, healthy and simple!

Ingredients

  • Chickpeas (dry) – 2 glasses
  • Sesame - 1 art.l.
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Olive oil - 30 ml
  • Lemon juice - 2 art.l.
  • Curry - 0,5 tsp.
  • Salt - to taste

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash the chickpeas and soak them in cold water for 12 hours.

Change the water and cook the chickpeas for 2 hours over very low heat.

Dry sesame seeds for a couple of minutes in a dry frying pan.

Grind sesame seeds with garlic, curry and olive oil in a blender.

Adding boiled chickpeas in portions, continue to grind until smooth.

Season the finished mass with salt and lemon juice. If desired, you can add a little more oil and your favorite spices.
