I have many favorites in Japanese cuisine, but among them I just have to single out one - onigiri with pink salmon. In the middle you can put anything, vegetables, any seafood, just cheese or pink salmon. Try a simple recipe and surprise your guests.
Ingredients
- Fig - 180 g
- Water - 250 ml
- Sugar - 25 g
- Rice vinegar - 30 g
- Nori - 2 pieces
- Pink salmon - 150 g
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Before cooking, rinse the rice in cold water up to 4 times. Then fill the rice with water and cook until tender. When the rice is cooked, add a mixture of rice vinegar, sugar and salt to it. Mix well.
Prepare the pink salmon. I buy lightly salted or smoked fish. You can also use canned food. Cut the fish into small cubes and form onigiri.
Take some rice in the palm of your hand and form a flatbread. Put the filling inside the tortilla and roll it into a ball. At the end of the ball, form a triangle.
Wrap the onigiri with a strip of nori, pour soy sauce on top and serve.
