I bring to your attention a less high-calorie version of the popular herring under a fur coat. A salad with sour cream dressing is being prepared, so even opponents of mayonnaise are happy to eat it. I advise you to use sour cream not too greasy — 15-20% maximum.
Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 300 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Sour cream - 180 ml
- Salt - to taste
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Ground coriander - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring from the skin and fins, gut, remove the bones and cut into small pieces.
Grate potatoes, beets and carrots, chop onions.
Put the potatoes on a wide dish, add salt, pepper and sour cream. Next, lay out layers of herring, onion and sprinkle with coriander.
Mix beets and carrots separately with sour cream, salt, pepper and also lay out layers. To make the salad look neat, I use a cooking ring. The finished dish can be decorated with patterns of sour cream or herbs. Before serving, the salad should stand for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
