Sometimes I want to eat a juicy and hearty shawarma. But for this you do not need to go in search of stalls or cafes. Stock up on the right products and prepare a delicious snack at home. I offer my favorite recipe for shawarma with turkey, cheese and pickles.
Ingredients
- Lavash (Armenian) – 4 pieces
- Turkey breast - 300 g
- Cheese - 200 g
- Cucumbers (salty) – 3 pieces
- Tomatoes (large) – 2 pieces
- Olive oil - 1 tbsp.l.
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Mayonnaise - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the turkey breast, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, lay out the turkey and fry until tender on all sides.
Add salt, ground pepper and mix.
Cut the cheese into cubes, cucumbers and tomatoes into thin circles.
Spread the pita bread on the table and smear with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
From the wide side to the bottom third, lay out layers of turkey, tomatoes, cucumbers and cheese.
Gently tuck the edges inside and roll up a tight roll. Repeat the steps with the rest of the pita bread and filling.
Brown the finished shawarma in a dry frying pan on both sides.
