Do you want to make an unusually delicious dessert? Bake a sponge cake with a layer of custard and jam. Airy and fragrant, it literally melts in your mouth. For decoration, you can use powdered sugar or berries.

- Chicken eggs - 5 pieces
- Flour - 100 g
- Sugar - 150 g
- Salt - 0,25 tsp.
- Corn Starch - 1 art.l
- Powdered sugar (for sprinkling) – 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Separate the whites from the yolks. Use only clean and dry dishes.
Add sugar to the yolks and beat for 5 minutes.
In a separate container, whisk the proteins with salt until sharp peaks.
Carefully transfer the yolks to the whites and mix.
Add flour mixed with starch and mix again.
Put the dough in a baking paper-covered mold and send it to a preheated 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
Mix flour with 150 ml of milk.
Mix the remaining milk with sugar, pour into a high saucepan and bring to a boil.
Continuously stirring, pour in the milk-flour mixture in a thin stream. Boil for 3-5 minutes and turn off.
Cool, add softened butter and beat well with a mixer.
Cut the cooled sponge cake into two identical cakes.
Put the first half on a wide cake pan and smear with cream.
Carefully spoon out the jam and cover the top with the second half of the cake.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and remove to soak in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
