And what if today we step back from the usual menu and cook a shawarma? And since we will do it ourselves, then let's choose the products to your liking. I like it best with fried pork, pickled onions and vegetables.
Ingredients
- Lavash (thin) – 4 pieces
- Pork (clipping) – 350 g
- Tomatoes (medium) – 2 pieces
- Bell pepper (large) – 1 piece
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 120 ml
- Lemon juice - 1 art.l.
- Parsley - halfpuchka
- Olive oil - 20 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the pork, dry it and cut it into small pieces.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, pour in the meat and fry until tender.
Chop the pork even smaller, season with salt and pepper.
Chop tomatoes, peeled bell peppers and onions. Disassemble the parsley into small twigs.
Wash the onion, sprinkle with lemon juice and leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
Spread the pita bread on the table and smear with a thin layer of mayonnaise.
On the third part of the wide edge, lay out layers of pork, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers.
Spread the parsley sprigs evenly, tuck the loose sides inside and roll the pita bread into a tight roll. Repeat the same steps with the remaining pita bread and filling.
Brown the finished shawarma in a dry frying pan from all sides.
