A great way to preserve cabbage so that you can enjoy its taste at any time of the year is to roll it in cans in layers. Most often it is marinated in chopped form, but this option is good, for example, for making cabbage rolls and other dishes.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 3-4 kg
  • Water - 2.5 l
  • Sugar - 2 glasses
  • Salt - 0.25 glasses
  • Vinegar (essence) – 25 ml

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Boil water with salt and sugar. Add the vinegar essence and cool the brine.

Disassemble the cabbage into leaves and boil them in boiling water until soft.

Carefully roll them up and put them in sterile jars. You can add spices.

Fill with brine, cover with lids and send to a cold place for storage.
