I used to be skeptical about this dish. Until one day I tried a herring forshmak with an apple from my friend. With boiled potatoes and black bread, it was combined incredibly harmoniously. Now this snack often appears at my house.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 400 g
- Apples (green) – 1 piece
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Onion - half
- White bread - 100 g
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.l.
- Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l.
- Ground coriander - 0,5 tsp.
- Ground black pepper - 0,5 tsp.
- Water - 100 ml
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Crumble the bread into a bowl, mix with water and set aside for 10 minutes.
Cut the apple into quarters, remove the core and stalk.
Peel the onion from the husk and cut into small pieces.
Peel the eggs from the shell and cut in half.
Place the herring fillet, apple, eggs and onion in the blender bowl.
Add soaked bread, lemon juice, oil, spices and grind until smooth.
