Everyone has known the classic forshmak recipe for a long time and well. And today I want to share with you one of the most original options from my cookbook. And all because here you will need tomato juice and semolina.
Ingredients
- Herring (fillet) – 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Tomato juice - 75 ml
- Vegetable oil - 70 ml
- Semolina - 50 g
- Spices and seasonings - 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring and pass it through a meat grinder or chop it with a blender. Add the peeled onion to the same place.
Mix tomato juice and oil, bring to a boil and pour semolina in a thin stream.
Cook, stirring, on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
Add semolina to the herring, mix and season with forshmak.
